To describe Talon Grace as a folk artist would be a place to begin. Yes he uses found objects and materials. Yes he is self taught with no formal training like most folk artist. Yes he creates from memories and emotions all traits of a folk artist but that is perhaps there is where the similarities stop and his spirit begins -Talonsgrace is authentcity at its core. Yes self taught through the honesty of life flowing through a heart. Talon is a natural at creativity.

His goal as an artist which began later in life at the tender age of 54 when life seemed to be no more, is to create like a child. To rediscover that 3 year old that lives inside him. Perfectly Imperfect. This is his finest ambition. He approaches the blank space with the unexpected, to make his marks. Work evoking emotion one cannot deny. Artist by design formed from a life of hardships,traumas are his fuel.

Talon was made to share this gift. An inspiration to all who want to be seen as they are and what they have endured.
